Connoquenessing Township approved two motions related to data centers earlier this week at the Board of Supervisor meeting.
On Wednesday, supervisors unanimously approved two motions. The first authorized the township’s formal participation, in accordance with state law, on the proposed one million square foot data center in Forward Township.
This motion allowed the township the right to represent interests of residents as Forward Township’s proposed data center may impact Connoquenessing.
The second motion, authorized the township solicitor to prepare a proposed data center ordinance.
The next supervisor meeting will be held on November 4 at 6 p.m. at the township building.
