High School Basketball season begins today with a number of weekend kick-off tournaments.–The Knoch Knights will face Blackhawk today at 3pm. Hear the game on WISR 680am (and at wisr680.com) beginning at 2:50pm with Scott Briggs. Knoch is competing in the Armstrong Tournament.
–Butler will meet Highlands at 6pm in the Pine-Richland Tournament. Tip-off is 6pm. Hear that game with Tyler Friel beginning at 5:50pm. on WBUT 1050am. (and at wbut.com).
In a renewal of the “Back Yard Brawl” – the West Virginia women’s basketball team defeated Pitt 73-52 last night. The Pitt and West Virginia men play Saturday at the Petersen Events Center. Tip-off is 8pm.
