The Pittsburgh Penguins fell to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night, losing by a final of 2-1.
Conor Sheary scored the lone goal for the Penguins, and goalie Casey DeSmith made 34 saves on 36 shots. With the loss, the Penguins’ record falls to 25-21-3, which is good enough for 53 points and fifth place in the Metropolitan Division. The first place Washington Capitals lead the Penguins in the division race by seven points.
