The Duquesne Dukes knocked off St. Louis 77-73 last night at the Palumbo Center. It was the first loss in the Atlantic-10 Conference for St. Louis, and the Dukes fifth win in a row. Duquesne is now a half-game behind George Mason for the A-10 lead.
The Duquesne women won their fourth in a row with a 66-62 decision over LaSalle. They are now tied with VCU for the Atlantic-10 lead.
The Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team had four players in double-figures in an 87-70 victory over Pitt-Johnstown at Morrow Field House last night. The Rock stretched their winning streak to 11 games. They improved to 13-5 overall and are 10-1 in the PSAC West. IUP defeated California 81-56 last night and remained tied with Slippery Rock. The Rock will visit Edinboro Saturday.
The Rock women dropped a 79-75 decision to UPJ.
#13-ranked California upset the #1-ranked IUP women 61-56. Cal improved to 16-1 and are now tied for the PSAC-West lead with the Crimson Hawks, who fell to 15-1.
