Multiple fire departments were called to the scene of a house fire last week in Buffalo Township.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, crews were called to the residence on Parker Road shortly after 3:30pm on Friday afternoon.
Officials say that a family dog was killed in the fire despite the rescue efforts by the Sarver Fire Chief. He was treated at the scene for a hand injury after attempting to break a window to save the dog.
A state police fire marshal is currently investigating. While the cause of the fire is currently unknown, officials say that it is possible the fire started on the first floor.
