AAA says a majority of state residents are staying at home this Thanksgiving.
“According to AAA data, it looks like 83 percent of Pennsylvania residents will be staying home for the holiday,” AAA spokeswoman Kathleen Zinszer said.
“40 percent say they’re not traveling because of COVID,” Zinszer said. “83 percent of those residents surveyed say they perceive traveling at this time as a risk. And 35 percent of those folks called that risk significant.”
She says the survey revealed that most people are heeding the CDC’s advice and are spending Thanksgiving with those inside their own households.
