AAA is expecting higher traffic than usual heading into the New Year’s weekend.
The travel agency says that traffic is expected to be congested today from 2-8 p.m. and once again on Saturday as people travel for the extended weekend.
AAA suggests hitting the road before lunchtime Saturday or after 7 p.m.
Through this holiday weekend, AAA estimates that 115 million people traveled more than 50 miles from their home, which is a two percent increase compared to last year.
