AAA is projecting another very busy holiday travel period with Thanksgiving around the corner.
The travel agency is projecting an estimated 81.8 million Americans will travel more than 50 miles from their home during the holidays—that’s almost 1.6 million more compared to last year.
The primary mode of travel in our region is by car, although AAA expects 865,000 to fly over Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is usually one of the busiest holiday travel periods according to AAA.
