The Atlantic Coast Conference released its football schedule yesterday for the upcoming coronavirus-affected season. Pitt will open with its only non-conference game September 12th – when they host Miami of Ohio at Heinz Field. The Panthers will host their first four games of the schedule, with Syracuse, Louisville and North Carolina State coming to Pittsburgh – before Pitt travels to Boston College October 10th.
The ACC schedule, which includes Notre Dame, as the school is giving up its independence for the season to play in the ACC. The schedule shows that Notre Dame will open its season against Duke on September 12th, and won’t play Navy for the first time in more than nine decades.
The first USA Today/Coaches pre-season college football poll has been released – with Clemson ranked first for a second consecutive year. Ohio State is second, with Alabama, Georgia and LSU rounding out the top five. Penn State is seventh.
