There were significant delays on Route 228 in Middlesex Township this morning following a two vehicle accident.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection with Park Road—which is about a mile west of Route 8.
Crews on scene say one of the vehicles was a tractor trailer; it reportedly was blocking both lanes after the accident.
One person was injured in the accident and taken to an area hospital.
Initially a portion of Route 228 was shut down, but soon crews were allowing traffic to pass through.
However, that created significant delays, resulting in stop-and-go traffic back to Mars High School.
