Snow started to fall a little earlier than expected for Butler County, with the first showers starting around 11 a.m.
And the Butler County 911 Center is already busy handling calls for accidents due to slick conditions.
We’ve learned that a portion of West Sunbury Road in Center Township is closed after a vehicle went into a guardrail. It’s near the intersection with Holyoke Road—no injuries were reported.
There have also been accidents on Route 19 near the Northgate Plaza involving two vehicles, and another on Route 356 near the intersection with Sarver Road in Buffalo Township.
Officials again are urging that if you do have to travel this afternoon, to make sure you drive slowly and give yourself enough space in between vehicles.
