Adams Township supervisors have voted against a new ordinance that would have fined farm owners if their animals were running free.
Our news partners at WPXI report that it was jam-packed meeting earlier this week in Adams Township where dozens gathered to speak out in opposition to the proposed rule.
It was brought forward after homeowners in Adams Township said loose cattle were roaming in their yards, causing significant damage.
Farmers spoke out against the proposal, arguing that it would create more problems.
All township supervisors voted against the bill, saying they will use existing laws to enforce.
