Pennsylvania’s Attorney General is filing a lawsuit against a well-known plumbing service in Western PA.
Democrat Josh Shapiro announced yesterday that he is suing Gillece Services and members of their management team alleging that the plumbing company would mislead customers into paying for unnecessary home improvements.
Shapiro says the company routinely would offer services for under $100, and then after going on-site, would recommend costly and unnecessary repairs. He also says the Gillece used scare tactics and high-pressure sales techniques.
Shapiro says the suit seeks to return lost money to those home owners, get civil penalties, and ban Gillece from the plumbing industry.
