Pennsylvania’s top law enforcement officer has joined the effort in calling for Big Tech companies to protect children from chatbots.
Attorney General Dave Sunday was one of 44 state attorneys’ generals across the entire United States that sent a letter to companies like Apple, Meta, Google, Microsoft, and Open AI.
The letter claims that chatbots which allow artificial intelligence to have digital conversations with users that can include children often contain “sexualized conversations, discussions of violence, and scams.”
The AGs request that these artificial intelligence companies “exercise judgement” when reviewing policies that protect children.
