Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is joining with colleagues to warn companies about illegal robocalls.
As part of Operation Robocall Roundup, the Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Task Force recently sent warning letters to 37 voice providers about allowing the calls to be routed through their networks.
These providers have failed to comply with FCC rules about responding to government traceback requests, haven’t registered in the FCC’s Robocall Mitigation Databases, or haven’t filed a plan that describes how they will reduce illegal robocalls on their telecom network.
This allows robocallers onto the networks and then passes them to other providers until the robocalls reach the phones of residents. The task force also sent warning letters to 99 secondary telecom providers.
