Renovations to the Alameda Waterpark are moving forward.
The Butler County Commissioners approved a contract to replaster the pool along with other updates. It will cost the county $643,000.
County commissioners tabled the vote at a previous public meeting, citing the cost and only receiving one bid for the project.
However, commissioners say after consulting with other officials they feel comfortable moving forward.
Work is expected to begin next week and should be completed by mid-May to allow for the pool to open on time.
