The Alameda Waterpark pool is set for repairs later this spring.
Due to cracking and wear and tear over the years, the pool needs to be repaired. Butler County Commissioners approved the project for $37,500 and the work is expected to be completed by the end of April but no official timeline has been set.
Testing provided no evidence of any danger or hazards in the ground, but officials say the current condition of the pool requires the repairs.
There was reference to reimbursing those have already paid for pool days or pool passes as the pool may not be open in time for the season. But there is no current word on how or when that will be done.
Also, there is hope by the time the pool season begins the pool will be taking credit cards for tickets and concessions. The pool is currently cash only.
