Alex Bowman won NASCAR’s invitational series iRacing event on Sunday at a virtual Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. It was the third iRacing victory for Hendrick Motorsports after William Byron won consecutive events. Bowman got the win in a two-lap overtime sprint over Corey LaJoie and Ryan Preece.
Driver Ryan Newman announced on the Fox pre-race show that he’s healed from the head injury he suffered in the season-opening Daytona 500 in mid-February and is ready to race when NASCAR returns. NASCAR still would have to give final approval.
