Police are investigating a situation at a Center Township home in which a number of farm animals were killed by dogs.
The incident happened Monday at a farm on Minich Road. Our newsroom talked to the owner of the farm, who said she left home around 7:30 a.m. She said when she returned around 3:15 p.m., all six of her alpacas and 13 chickens were dead.
The owner says she saw three dogs, but was able to provide a description of two of them. One dog was black with white markings and a red collar, and the other was white and tan in color. The third dog was in the high grass and she was not able to see it.
Her account however, contradicts the report given by state police which says they are looking for two pitbulls and a german shepherd. A call to the state police was not immediately returned.
The owner expressed concern that the wrong description may have been provided to police, and that the correct dogs need to be caught because they killed her animals.
