A group of amateur radio aficionados will be gathering this weekend as part of a national challenge.
The Butler County Amateur Radio Group will be hosting a field day this Saturday at the Winfield Township Municipal Building.
They will be constructing an extension ladder and then be using what are known as Ham Radios to communicate with other amateur radio groups across the country.
The public can visit the field day starting around 3 p.m. to learn more about Ham Radio.
The group has been around in Butler County since 1938.
