A group of local veterans are donating to Butler County Community College in order to establish a new scholarship for student-veterans.
The American Legion Riders Chapter 778 presented college officials with a $15,000 check earlier this week.
The money will go toward an endowed scholarship that will fund tuition and fees, books or other expenses for student-veterans at BC3.
The scholarship will be initially awarded in the 2025-26 academic year to an honorably discharged U.S. veteran that is registered for at least six credits.
BC3 had a total 66 student-veterans in the spring semester.
