With the start of a new calendar year, many are making their New Year’s resolutions.
The American Lung Association has launched the Tobacco Free 23 campaign to provide tips and resources to help with ending smoking for good this year.
Smokers should be aware that the Food and Drug Administration is in the process of finalizing rules to end the sale of menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars in the U.S. Also, e-cigarettes are still tobacco products that maintain an addiction to nicotine.
Tobacco use remains the leading cause of preventable death and disease across Pennsylvania. Quitting smoking is estimated to save residents between $2,000 and $4,000 annually.
