A Butler man has been charged after an anonymous tip led to his arrest.
In April, State Police received a tip about drug activity at a home on the 100 block of North Duffy Road.
After leaving his home on Friday, police conduct a traffic stop of 53-year-old William Ringler. During the stop Ringler was found to be in possession of narcotics.
After being read his rights Ringler admitted to having three Marijuana plants in his home. A warrant was acquired to search Ringler’s home to reveal a grow operation with three marijuana plants and an additional five starter plants.
A rifle was also found in the home and as a convicted felon Ringler is not allowed to be in possession of a firearm.
He’s been charged with manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possession of a firearm prohibited, and misdemeanor drug related charges.
Ringler has been placed in the Butler County Prison on $100,000 bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
