The annual furry convention is officially underway.
It’s known as “Anthrocon” and it’s an annual event for fans of fictional animal characters in art. Many of its attendees dress up in costume throughout the entire weekend.
The event moved to the Pittsburgh area in 2006 and this year is expected to bring in a record crowd of nearly 20,000.
Tourism officials estimate that it also contributes $21 million to the local economy.
