Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate has not moved over the past month.
New numbers from the Department of Labor show the April unemployment rate at 3.4 percent in the Commonwealth—which is the same as March.
Department leaders say that total nonfarm jobs were up 2,600 over the month to a record high just north of 6.1 million.
Butler County remained below the statewide rate at 2.8 percent. Meaning there are just shy of 3,000 people in the county who are unemployed at the moment.
