Butler County’s Area Agency on Aging has a new home.
Commissioners approved the purchase of the former Butler Racquet Club on North Duffy Road for $437,500.
The agency had been seeking a new office and senior center location for a while, before settling on the location behind Butler Commons.
However, it will still be a while before the new facility opens. The sale is expected to close by the end of the year. Then significant renovations and a build out of the facility need to be done.
While not official, that project is estimated to be around $2.5 million.
