A grant from Rails-to-Trails will help fund the reconstruction of a tunnel along Armstrong Trails.
The Armstrong Trails group announced they won the $35,000 grant on Facebook last week.
The money will go toward a southern sluice that will divert water over the Brady Tunnel, instead of into it. The tunnel is currently closed to hikers and bikers on the trail.
Armstrong Trails officials say once the tunnel is completed, it will help with continued efforts to connect the trail throughout Western PA.
