Armstrong’s Healing Heroes program is receiving recognition for their work with veterans.
The Broadband Communications Associations of Pennsylvania recently named Armstrong as the recipient of their President’s Community Service Award.
Their Healing Heroes program pairs medical service dogs with veterans who might be struggling with things like PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and more.
“I was humbled to accept this award on behalf of the Armstrong team and our communities,” Armstrong President Jeff Ross said. “Everyone has been so generous with their time and donations. Seeing how these professionally trained service dogs help veterans in need is awe inspiring.”
The program launched in 2016 and since that time has trained 15 dogs in a partnership with the Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs.
