A couple Butler Township projects continue to advance towards completion.
Butler Township Manager Tom Knights told our newsroom that the construction of a concession and restroom building along with a parking lot and pads for bleachers is progressing as part of the recreation facility project at the Pullman Business Park. The structure is framed up with work continuing on the second story press box. Most of the internal utilities are connected. Also, the contractor that completed the field installation will soon return to adjust the angles of the lights. Commissioners are expected to approve rental fees for the facility at their meeting in a couple weeks. The project is then expected to be finished in about a month.
The project to improve safety at the four-way intersection near the Pullman Business Park in Butler Township is expected to move from Armco Drive to Whitestown Road sometime either later this week or early next week which could result in traffic shifts on Hansen Avenue in the Lyndora area. This project is still anticipated to wrap up in late October.
