More students in the Butler Area School District will have the chance to catch up on their studies through free summer school classes.
Using available federal aid money, the district is able to cover the cost for secondary students to re-take six week credit recovery courses.
These make-up classes normally cost $200 and around 25 to 30 students take advantage of summer school in a normal year however double or triple that number could need do-overs this summer.
This offer is only for students who have failed a class and not applicable for students who are taking summer school classes to work ahead.
