Another local school district is seeking state funding through a grant opportunity.
The Butler Area School board recently approved a couple of Facility Improvement grant resolutions with the Department of Community and Economic Development’s Commonwealth Financing Authority.
They are asking for a total of $6.5 million to address exterior panels at the Intermediate School, tile and a bathroom at the Senior High, and roof replacement needs at several school facilities.
If awarded, these grants require a 25% local match contribution. The deadline to apply for these grants is the end of this month.
