Butler County Community College has new policies regarding Artificial Intelligence in the classroom.
At the Board of Trustee Meeting Wednesday, trustees approved an A.I. resolution that will give professors more guidance as they use the new technology.
The policy says A.I. can be accepted when it upholds academic integrity, has human oversight for accuracy and potential bias, and follows all department or instructor-established rules concerning A.I.
School officials say whether A.I. is used in the classroom is up to the discretion of each instructor but the school guidance provides more guidelines.
