Butler County Community College is moving forward with a project to improve comfort, maintenance, and remote monitoring in one of the largest buildings on the Butler Township campus.
The BC3 Board of Trustees has approved a proposal from Tudi Mechanical Systems for replacement of the Science and Technology Building boilers and chillers in the amount of nearly $2.5 million. Work will also include replacement of hydronic pumps and associated systems, along with related upgrades to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
About half of this total will come from state grant funding and this project of 79,000 square feet which includes the Succop Theater will represent the last major HVAC upgrade necessary on the BC3 main campus.
Work is expected to begin in mid-May following commencement and take about six months to complete.
