Butler County Community College has officially agreed to a new four contract with their faculty.
The contract with the BC3 Education Association will begin retroactivity to July 1 of this year and end June 2029.
It will see 55 full-time faculty members receive a onetime $2,000 payment and 25 part-time instructors receive a one time $500.
Two-thirds of the faculty are tenured and they receive an additional $350 increase to base salaries.
In the first year of the contract all full-time faculty will receive increases to base salaries of $2,060, three percent the next year, $2,920 the third year, and three percent the final year.
Faculty with 15 years of service will also be offered an early retirement of $30,000 if they retire between July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. $7,000 will be offered if they accept the early retirement between January 1, 2028 and June 30, 2028.
There were also updates and changes to healthcare options and overload payments.
