The support staff at Butler County Community College is arguing for higher wages as part of contract negotiations with the college’s board.
The union representing the support staff issued a fact-finding report earlier this week that says while administrators saw payroll increases, support staff had positions cut.
According to the union, the college board of trustees rejected the latest contract offer and the fact-finding report.
The board is meeting later today at 12:30 p.m., where the support staff is asking for another vote to accept the proposal.
Our newsroom reached out to BC3 administrators for comment.
The board and union have been negotiating since January of 2023 on a contract that expired at the end of last June.
