After beginning construction nearly 18 months ago, the new Butler County Community College facility in neighboring Armstrong County is nearly complete.
Classes wrapped up at BC3 @ Armstrong facility in Manor Township last week ahead of spring break but students will return next week to the new BC3 @ Armstrong facility on the site of the former Ford City Junior-Senior High School.
The 15,000 square foot single-story structure cost about $6.5 million and includes classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a natural science laboratory, student meeting space, and offices.
BC3 is currently in the planning stages for a grand opening ceremony that will be open to the Ford City community.
