Butler Health System will now be scheduling COVID-19 vaccine appointments for those 65 and older.
The hospital made the change earlier this morning. All appointments are still being scheduled through the hospital’s website—which can be found here.
The state Department of Health expanded Phase 1A to include those 65 and older a few weeks ago, however Butler Health System officials said supply of the vaccine was limited and that they were administering shots to healthcare workers and those 75 and older.
“We are currently serving the residents of Butler, Clarion, and Forest County, and/or current patients of a BHS practice. If you live outside of these counties, please contact your closest health care organization,” BHS says on their website.
BHS officials also say that scheduling continues to open and close as vaccine becomes available.
And if you do receive your first shot, the appointment for your second shot will typically be made at the same time.
