A longtime executive for Armstrong and community leader has died.
Bill Stewart passed away over the weekend.
Stewart was a Kittanning native before moving to Butler to join his father-in-law at Armstrong Utilities. He spent 30 years with the company building it into a nationally known cable television and internet company.
Stewart was also active in the Butler community, serving on numerous boards and helping local organizations.
He played college baseball at Grove City and was active with his alma mater, recently helping with fundraising to build a new turf field.
A celebration of life will be held at BC3 on July 12th.
Stewart was 85.
