A bill that will ban the use of cell phones in Pennsylvania schools is expected to receive a final vote on the house floor.
Senate Bill 1014 has only one more vote to pass before reaching Governor Josh Shapiro’s desk.
The bill would implement a bell-to-bell ban policy. It’s similar to the one started at Seneca Valley School District last year. The bill allows for exceptions for students with medical conditions or individualized education plans.
The bill passed in the senate in February with bipartisan support.
