As a deadline nears for “skill games” a piece of legislation to extend the deadline is being introduced.
On October 13, “skill games” will officially fall under the regulation of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Meaning all skill machine operators would need a license to continue operating the machine.
A new bill would extend that deadline to April of next year.
According to the bill’s memo, this would give lawmakers more time to come to a comprehensive legislative framework and allow businesses more time to adjust to any new legislation.
The bill has no co-sponsors and has not been formally introduced in the state house.
