Teaching cursive writing in schools is one vote away from becoming state law in Pennsylvania.
The bill passed through the House with bipartisan support and out of a Senate committee.
The final step before reaching the governor’s desk is now a vote on the senate floor. The senate is currently in Harrisburg finishing budget negotiations, but no senate voting day is currently on the schedule until September.
If signed into law, cursive handwriting or joined italics will be taught to appropriate grade levels in Pennsylvania schools.
