A bill has been introduced in Congress to move an office that’s in the Department of Energy.
Multiple Congressmen from Western PA have proposed moving the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management to Pittsburgh.
The office oversees the development of unconventional oil and gas resources, along with other oil reserves. Advocates say bringing that office to Pittsburgh makes sense because of its vast gas resources.
The current Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management is in Washington D.C. and Maryland.
