Churches in the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh will allow for increased capacity for those who would like to attend Mass.
According to Bishop David Zubik, 50% maximum capacity will be allowed at local parishes beginning this Saturday but health and safety protocols will remain in effect.
Individual pastors will determine safe reopening plans based on space, resources, and staffing. Mask wearing, social distancing, and current cleaning and sanitizing procedures will continue to be followed.
The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass remains in effect throughout the state and those in vulnerable groups can continue to life stream Mass through the Diocese of Pittsburgh website.
