
Butler Memorial Hospital is unveiling the new updates to their unit that helps with recovery and treatment.
Independence Health System announced the $2.3 million renovation of the 5 South inpatient unit is now complete.
The project set out to modernize and enhance the experience for patients who are undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Hospital officials say it’s the most significant renovation of the unit since it opened in 1983.
Some of the updates include new ADA-accessible rooms, increased capacity to 20 inpatient beds, and new interior updates.
According to officials, Butler Memorial Hospital remains one of the few hospital-based detox and rehab programs in the state.
