Alex Bowman won the Nascar Cup Series race at Richmond Sunday, passing Denny Hamlin following the final restart of the race with 10 laps remaining. It was his third career victory. He is the eighth winner in nine Cup Series races this season. Hamlin won the first two stages, but held on to second place ahead of Joey Logano, for his eighth top-five finish in the nine Cup races. Bowman’s victory was the first for the #48 Chevrolet of Hendrick Motorsports since June 2017, when former driver Jimmie Johnson was in the seat. The drivers head to Talladega this week.
