A box truck and a building were significantly damaged after an accident in Parker City over the weekend.
The crash happened Saturday around 8:30 a.m. at the T-intersection right after the Parker Bridge.
State police say a box truck driven by 29-year-old Donanthony Phipps of Pittsburgh lost his brakes as he was going across the bridge. The truck went through both lanes of the intersection and hit a barrier that launched the truck into Welter’s Country Market.
Phipps and his passenger 37-year-old Josey Stull of Penn Hills both suffered minor injuries and were taken to Grove City Medical Center.
The market had damage to both the inside and outside of the building.
North River Avenue was shut down for hours to allow for crews to clear the scene.
