The Atlanta Braves defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-1 last night. Starting pitcher JT Brubaker allowed just one hit to the Braves in the opening four innings, but allowed a home run in to open the fifth inning, and the Braves went on to score five runs in that inning. The Pirates lone run came on a Michael Chavis home run in the second inning. They managed just three hits in the game.
The Bucs and Braves complete their three-game series this afternoon at 12:35pm. WISR will join the game following the Noon News.
