A large brush fire impacted rail traffic yesterday.
Crews were called to Thompsontown Road in Clay Township around 2:45 p.m. for a large brush fire.
Dispatchers say about a half-acre of woods caught on fire, but it happened near railroad tracks.
That resulted in a brief shut down of the railroad tracks. The fire was brought under control by 3:15 p.m.
However, trains were advised to go through the area at a slow speed in order to avoid any issues.
