The Buffalo Township board of supervisors recently approved a plan that will bring a solar farm to the township.
After passing by a vote of 4-1, 100-acres across two locations will be supporting solar arrays along Bear Creek and Grimm Roads.
Only small portions of the land will feature panels; an estimated 5.62 acres in total will have panels.
The approval does have conditions tied to it. Any additional expansion will require board approval and prohibiting the storage of lithium battlers at any location.
Developers will now enter the land development phase to finalize construction details.
