After missing a late March target for completion of the Butler Senior High School construction project, crews are now aiming to finish part of the project by the end of this week.
The Butler Area School District Board of Directors heard an update at their Monday night meeting from the district’s construction manager on the classroom expansion project.
Material availability slowed progress and caused several delays but officials will attempt to secure a temporary occupancy permit for four new classrooms by the end of this week which would allow for dedicated testing areas. The general contractor is still working on painting and floor sealing while the plumber is working on bathrooms.
The Board approved a change order totaling just over $30,000 involving code required revisions to partitions and door hardware.
